Esmeralda Manzo is a Photographer & Creative Director based in the Chicagoland area.

Finding her spark for the medium in a community college photography course was only the start of what would become a journey of 7 years, and counting. Deeply drawn to character study and visual storytelling, she dedicated the first few years to exploring a multitude of creative themes rooted in human connection and identity through personal work, while concurrently pursuing a comprehensive film education at DePaul.

​​Apart of what inspires Esmeralda the most about the art of photography is the multitude it contains. Its vast range of themes and facets of character to dive into.
​
Professionally, working within the corporate studio setting provided the array of model subjects, experienced and unexperienced alike, she needed to grow the skillset it takes to connect with others in such a way it draws out their unique, authentic essence.

Esmeralda now works as a freelance photographer - with her latest venture being editorial work. ​
But remains open to any project that speaks to the source of her love for visual storytelling.
